“How to install (blah blah) on Mac”? Replace blah blah with every software you’veย ever known in the last ten years.
And the results given by our dear friend Google is not satisfactory at all.
It is then that we wonder how we could’ve been so damn blind regarding a few stuff which we possible didn’t know that we were over looking in the first place.
For instance :
1) NTFS is a format which was made by windows FOR windows and it stands for New Technology File System which was released during Windows 2000.(in the year 2000)
2) You cannot just “borrow” softwares from a friend to install it on your mac. Because “EXE” files don’t work on Mac.
3) Yes. None of the games you have usually played can be installed on Mac from the same cd.
4) Half the softwares like Media Player classic, Winamp, Windows Media Player(Duh), Internet Explorer(Duh again) will not run on the Mac.
These things are enough to test the patience of most people as usually its frustrating to get the basic things up and running on a new system, and it seems like this so called “user friendly” device doesn’t seem to be helping.
Amongst every one of these points, the 1st one is the worst of all.
If you find that WM Player cannot be there on mac you can find an alternative( say wpcktime) but assume your friend has a collection of the kickass songs you want and he gets it to you on a portable Hard drive or a thumb drive.
Most of us usually have it in the infamous ‘NTFS” format, which is windows specific..
So there you go.. Your 1st tantrum begins. And its probably the first major user-unfriendly roadblock a beginner will hit when he uses the Mac. cheap Cardura
