User friendly?? My Ass !! โ€“ Part 3 – Finale

Considering all the teeny irritating things about the Mac, one would feel that shifting to it would be a pain in the butt.
However I assure you its far from it.
With Mac you tend to get a seamless user experience, with no hitches. But this is possible only if you change your midset slightly.
For starters, honestly, what exactly is the use of a START button anyway? How many times do you “start” while using the computer?
Its just a matter of getting used to..
For instance, minimising the open windows by clicking the button on the left, rather than the right. Its not exactly a Herculean task. Its more like convention.
“User-friendly” is a highly misinterpreted word.Just because something is new, doesn’t mean its not user un-friendly. Its about the perception of people.
But one thing is for sure.
After using the Mac, seeing the things you can do and experiencing the UI, I will bet that it’l be very hard to turn away from what you’re getting.
Apart from the fact that its highly expensive, I did not find a many disadvantages of it..yet!
With regards to the few “problems” mentioned in the previous posts [1],[2], there are solutions to all, albeit one of them {Cut-Paste ๐Ÿ™ }
1) Read NTFS(native windows) format… Install “NTFS for Mac“.
2) Play all video formats.. Install “Perian“.
Similarly most of the things that you used to do on your old windows PC can be done on the Mac.
Just by a different software. The one you probably havent heard of.
Although most of the users would be satisfied with all these things, there are a certain group of people who will never accept the Mac to be one of the awesome OS’s ever.
They’re ofcourse the gaming freaks.
And you gotta give them the right to do so, as that is the only thing in which Mac is far behind Windows. Games! Rather, third party games.
There obviously aren’t as many games for Mac as there is for Windows and sadly you will have to download the Mac version of the game to play it.
However, there is a solution for the gaming freaks as well. And this is one thing which other OS’s do not have yet.
Cross OS support. i.e Install Windows on a Mac…
Vice versa – Mac on a Windows machine.. Keep Dreaming!!
It would pretty much defeat the purpose if you install Windows on a Mac, but the option is definitely welcome.
You find a software on windows which you never want to leave, or you find a game on windows which you just cannot stop playing,
install windows and enjoy them right on your Mac.
Well, a unix OS with a rich and almost flawless user experience, coupled with Windows support, if at all rewpred, would you want to shift to any other OS?
If yes, then why exactly, other than the cost?
Hmmm still wondering !!
